Zcams Move Valves Off Seats Quicker To Initiate Flow Sooner

Zcams take full advantage of Crane's Quick-Lift technology, which accelerates valve action and contributes to significant improvements in low and mid-range performance by opening intake and exhaust valves quicker than other profiles. Zcams' advanced lobe design increases the area beneath the lift curve, and they only return a valve to its seat after maximum flow and cylinder filling have been achieved. Peak horsepower and torque output are enhanced throughout the entire RPM range, and Zcams are designed to minimize HP-robbing harmonic frequency pulses when properly matched with recommended Crane valve springs and pushrods.
